Lesson 23: “She Pondered These Things In Her Heart”

Lectio Divina is the method of prayer whereby the disciple enters into a discursive reading of Sacred Scripture and engages his senses and imagination and reason to more deeply understand the Scripture itself and how God speaks to him through this meditation. It is the foundation of the rosary and the Stations of the Cross; and meditation is the practical prayer of every disciple who wants to know God more deeply so that he may love him more deeply.

Discussion Questions:

1. Have you ever read the Bible front to back? If yes, why? If not, why not?

2. Do certain parts of the Bible seem confusing? For example?

3. Does knowing more about God help you to love him more?

4. How can I pray the rosary more deliberately with Scripture?
