Pastoral Messages from the Bishop

Bishop Strickland consecrated the diocese to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary when he was ordained bishop.  He asks all the faithful to renew this consecration with him as we continue to journey through this crisis.

Bishop Strickland Assures the Faithful

Bishop Joseph Strickland assures us that, though we are not being fed by Christ’s Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist in these days, God has not abandoned us. Do not despair! We are here for each other, especially those in the most vulnerable age bracket for the COVID-19 virus. We will post pastoral messages from the Bishop as we all journey together through this challenging time in our history.

It is vital at this time – especially now that public Masses have been temporarily suspended – for pastors and their people to stay connected with each other. Bishop Strickland and Fr. Braun want to share their thoughts on the virus, how it is affecting them and their ministry, and their reflections on how we can deepen our faith during this challenging time. Recorded on March 23, 2020.

Bishop Strickland and Fr. Braun sit down once again to give a pastoral update during this time. They share their thoughts with you on the Pope’s Urbi et Orbi blessing as well as how to keep Sunday holy at home. Recorded on March 28, 2020.
