The Season of Maturity

The Season of Maturity is a time when the person is physically and mentally mature, defined as the fullness or perfection of growth and development. It is a time of arriving at the point of becoming who a person is meant to be, a time of knowing who you are. This season is broadly identified as between 50 – 70 years of age.

10 Quick Tools:

  1. Attend Mass daily if possible, and make the Eucharist the source and summit of your entire day. Use the time after Mass to ask Christ for guidance in all that troubles you.
  2. Discern your vocation by asking God to show you your purpose in life.
  3. Make a list of the top 20 people who depend on you, and pray a Hail Mary for each of them every day.
  4. Make a habit of walking for at least 30 minutes a few days a week, and pray the Rosary while walking among the handiwork of God.
  5. Subscribe to Catholic podcasts or audiobooks and listen to them while walking, working around the house, or driving to work.
  6. Keep some reading material by your bed, and make a habit of going to bed or getting up earlier to read for a little while. A reading device (like an ereader) can even allow you to read during the night if there are difficulties that keep you awake.
  7. We are made in image and likeness of God, human persons body and soul, with the spiritual powers of intellect and free will. These theological understandings are derived from the Divine Revelation of the Holy Trinity, three Persons in One God, which means we are also made for communion. Find ways to put all of that together and heal broken relationships.
  8. Each day, ask God to grant you the grace to do His will. Seriously, this is a simple prayer that can change your entire outlook on life.
  9. Eat more vegetables because they are gifts from God.
  10. Drink more water because God made our bodies from it and we need water to sustain our health.
