The St. Philip Institute
Come and Rest Awhile
On Saturday December 7, 2019, 45 women joined the St.Philip Institute at St. Mary of Magdalene in Flint, TX for a day of reflection and prayer. Keynote talks were given by Fr. Justin Braun, the Director of Youth Formation and Noelle Garcia, a national Catholic speaker and musician, encouraging women to pause, pray, and joyfully await the coming of Christ. In addition to talks and small group discussion time, women were given the opportunity to attend a Holy Hour and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This event reached women all throughout our diocese and from all ages, ranging from young adults and college students all the way to young moms and grandmothers.
