One of the ministries impacted by COVID-19 was our Three to Get Married retreat program. The Family Life office had to cancel live retreats, but this created an opportunity to bring this ministry to an online platform so that couples could continue their marriage formation.
We launched the very first Three to Get Married/Son Tres Los Que Se Casan retreat weekends May 29-31 and June 5-7. The retreats consisted of a combination of pre-recorded talks as well as “Live Sessions” where they had the opportunity to interact with the retreat chaplain, team members, and other couples in formation. Ten couples went through the pilot version of this online retreat, and the Family Life Office is currently scheduling additional weekends in English and Spanish throughout the summer.
