Luke Arredondo, Ph.D.

Director of Faith Formation

Luke is the Director of Faith Formation for the St. Philip Institute of Catechesis and Evangelization.  He joined the staff in December of 2019.  He has a PhD in Religious Studies from Florida State University and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary, where he studied under Brant Pitre and Chris Baglow.

He is also the co-author of O My Jesus: The Meaning of the Fatima Prayer, and writes for the National Catholic Register.  His most important work is as husband to his wife, Elena, and father to his five children. 

Islands of Faith

The Catechism describes Christian families as islands of faith in an unbelieving world.  So what can catechists to help strengthen those families?  Following St. John Paul II and Vatican II, Dr. Arredondo’s talk explores this important project.
