Building the Domestic Church 2020 Catechist Conference
The St. Philip Institute Department of Faith Formation recently hosted our annual Catechist Conference. The conference focused on the theme of Building the Domestic Church. The event featured ten talks offered for catechists and parish leaders, five in English and five in Spanish. Over 300 people attended the virtual event and our live Q and A was joined by 50 participants. The talks from the conference are still available here.

Be Light: A Marriage Renewal Date Night Series
The Director of Family Life, Deanna Johnston, and her husband Michael were recently featured in “Be Light: Marriage Renewal Date Night Series” hosted by Witness to Love Marriage Preparation Renewal Ministry. The weeklong series featured short videos by marriage leaders from around the United States, and aimed to help couples understand their marriage as a “light” in the world, following the themes of belong, believe, become, beatitude, and be light.
Witness to Love is part of our marriage formation program for engaged couples, and will soon be implemented for use with civilly married couples seeking a sacramental marriage as well as ongoing marriage enrichment in our diocese.
